A very chilly, breezy afternoon with temperatures struggling to get out of the 50s this afternoon. Tonight will bring temperatures into the lower to mid 30s. Some areas will likely approach the freezing mark, so take care of your pets, plants and people. Thursday will bring another day of sunny and cooler weather.
Rain chances will begin to increase from west to east late Friday night, but Saturday is when the bulk of rain will move through. Precipitation chances are slightly higher than previous forecast, now close to 100% for northern half of the area, as confidence on timing increases. A small chance for isolated thunderstorms will be in place Saturday late morning into the early afternoon time frame. Another cold front on the back side of the rain shield will dry out the local area and usher in cool temps. Below normal temps will be maintained through early next week.
