Weather conditions are improving rapidly as a cold front swings through South MS. Winds are still westerly at the moment, but a northerly shift through the night will bring down temperatures and dewpoints as cooler, drier air moves in.
TONIGHT’S LOW WILL FALL INTO THE UPPER 40S ON THE WATERFRONT AND SLIGHTLY COOLER INLAND, BUT THE NEXT FEW NIGHTS WILL LOWER EVEN FURTHER INTO THE MID 30S.
The afternoons will be much more clear and cool as well! Wednesday’s high will top out in the low 60s, but the next few days leading into the weekend will fall into the upper 50s…below the seasonal average for the first time in over a week. That’s where the improving stops though as the sky begins to darken and the temperature and humidity rise sharply ahead of our next active weather system on Saturday. This one doesn’t linger as long as the last though, and we’ll be back to cooler and drier weather by the start of the next workweek.
