Many people try to set goals that will make their life better for the new year, but how about trying to make the new year better for someone else?
During the holiday season, many people like to volunteer. While that is great, many charitable organizations need people to help out during the rest of the year.
In the new year, the Salvation Army is looking for volunteers to help others turn their life around for the better. Area Commander Major Bradley J. Caldwell said, “We would love for people to get involved with our Pathway to Hope approach which is trying to break the cycle of poverty and families with needs. We work to help them overcome the things in their life that caused them to need help and to find a way to get back on their own feet with their own work and their own income and their own home and they won’t need to come to us for help in the future.”
