A toddler who accidently hanged himself between a couch and a wall while his caretakers were sleeping was reportedly found with cigarette burns on the soles of his feet and other signs of abuse.
The complete autopsy on 21-month-old Rowan Cannette is not complete, but hair follicle tests on two other children living in the home show they ingested meth.
According to court testimony, Thomas Cannette and Cassandra Lopresto locked the children in a bedroom for about three months to keep the kids from getting out while the parents slept.
Investigators also found several other signs of abuse on the other children living in the home. This investigation is ongoing, but Cannette and Lopresto each face three counts of felony child abuse.
