Players from the New Orleans Saints surprised 25 families in need with a special treat at Walmart.
Families with Metro Centers for Community Advocacy did not know what to expect when they gathered at a local Walmart.
They all received the surprise of a lifetime in the form of a $425 gift card. Saints tight end Benjamin Watson and his family donated $325 to all 25 families. Saints owner Gayle Benson topped it off with an extra $100.
Tears flowed from some people when they were given the special holiday donation. It’s a gift that will help the families have a meaningful Christmas this year.
Watson says he’s hosted the holiday giveaway for the last 10 years in four different cities.
