If you have been on the job hunt and are looking to make a change in the community, the Biloxi Fire Department will be taking applications until December 27th.
You must first meet the requirements by having a high school diploma or above and a clean record then you will need to go onto Biloxi’s website to fill out an application. The department will also ask you to get your fingerprints taken, which you can get done at the Public Safety Complex Building on Porter Avenue.
An applicant will also have to pass a lie detector test and a physical exam. Assistant Chief Mark Dronet says the process may seem extensive, but it is with good reason. “We’re serving the citizens of Biloxi and we want to have the best serving our citizens and you know anytime you have good employees, you can pass that on to the citizens and that’s what it’s all about. We feel that Biloxi is a great place to work so we want to get the best of the best.”
Once human resources receives your application and it is processed you will have to take a civil servant exam to be considered. That exam will be held on January 12th 2019.
