It won’t be dramatically warmer just yet, but it is already much more humid than it’s been all week long. The humidity will continue to climb through the night and into tomorrow ahead of our next frontal system Saturday. Rain isn’t expected until the late morning/afternoon, but once it arrives it will last most of the day and could be heavy at times.
RIGHT NOW MODELS ARE FORECASTING BETWEEN 1 AND 3 INCHES, TOTALS WHICH COULD LEAD TO POTENTIAL FLOODING ISSUES.
The rain will end Saturday night, but the upper level cloud cover will linger into Sunday. Even that won’t last long though, and much cooler and drier air will return to the Gulf Coast by Monday night. We’ll begin next week with lows in the mid-to-upper 30s and highs in the mid 50s.
