After some fog this morning, most places are in good shape. The cloud cover will stick around throughout the day. Rain is also possible with a stalled frontal boundary in the area. Going into tonight patchy fog is once again possible and a few isolated showers are possible. For Friday the weather will be somewhat more active. With a cold front moving in during the day rain chances will go up, and temperatures will fall throughout the afternoon. While you might not need a sweater Friday morning, by Friday evening you’ll need something warm. Friday night football there could still be some rain, and temperatures will fall into the 50s by game time. On Saturday we finally get some relief and very cool temperatures for afternoon highs. Sunday we’ll watch a low develop in the western Gulf of Mexico, which will increase our rain chances Sunday into Monday. Depending on the track, we could see some heavy rain in South Mississippi on Monday. As the low moves out of the area it will pull another cold front through on Tuesday with another round of rain. Behind this cold front…much much colder air. Tuesday highs could struggle to get out of the 40s in some locations. Tuesday night into Wednesday morning we could have a few inland counties approach the freezing mark.
