It’s still wet out there across the Gulf Coast as the cloudy, stormy continue for another day. Expect similar weather for the rest of the workweek as front after front move into the area and stall. High pressure will begin to move in late Friday/early Saturday after one of the fronts move through, which will be the first significant clearing/drying we’ll have seen since last weekend.
Afternoon highs will fall into the 60s for the weekend as that drier airmass moves in, but that relief is short-lived due to another front which seems poised to bring another day of rain as we start the week.
After that last front, the coldest airmass we’ve had since summer ended will move in, potentially bringing our first freeze/frost to the area as lows dip into the 30s by the middle of next week. Even the days will chill out considerably as well, with afternoon highs falling into the upper 50s.
