The violent weather associated with the squall line earlier this morning is well to our east. Light rain and drizzle remains with a good bit of cloud coverage all the way back to the western side of Louisiana. As the cold front approaches the area, light rain will continue into the early afternoon before dissipating.
The clouds will continue through tonight with the majority of the clearing to occur early Friday morning as colder/drier air begins to move into the area. Friday afternoon will bring sunny skies and cooler temps in the mid-60s heading into the weekend. The next system to affect the area will move in Sunday into early next week.
