Jack Frost isn’t nipping at your nose quite yet, but that doesn’t mean it’s not beginning to look a lot like Christmas.
Well, at least at Jones Park in Gulfport, where crews have already been hard at work transforming the park into a winter wonderland for this year’s Gulfport Harbor Winter Lights Festival.
While the lights won’t be bright until the day after Thanksgiving, the setup for a show of this magnitude must start weeks in advance.
Jase Payne, Marketing Manager for the City of Gulfport tells News 25, there will be some changes this year to the coasts biggest light show including weekly themed discount nights.
“Sunday night is school spirit night so you can bring your ID card from school and wear your school colors, we have got military appreciation night and we’ve got a locals appreciation night. Monday nights we have unlimited ride bands for 15 dollars as well as a senior night so we have really tried to encompass everything that we have gotten feedback on and we look forward to this year’s festival.”
They’ve also tweaked the layout as well as updating Santa’s village.
