It’ll be a bit damp tonight and for the rest of the week as showers and thunderstorms continue to develop along a weak front. Don’t expect too much activity through the evening hours, but each morning the showers return and build into the afternoon.
RAINFALL TOTALS WILL AVERAGE AROUND 1-3″ ACROSS THE GULF COAST FOR THE REST OF THE WEEK, BUT IT WOULDN’T SURPRISE ME TO SEE SOME HIGHER LOCALIZED TOTALS.
Expect this rainy trend to continue. I anticipate at least a 50% chance of rain through Friday afternoon, and positive changes will be slow to occur as the front continues to break down overhead. This means showers will linger into Saturday, but sunny and drier weather will start off next week on the right foot.
