What’s already been a banner year for Biloxi Shuckers baseball just keeps getting better especially for organizational standouts like Corey Ray and Zack Brown.
This afternoon, Ray was named Milwaukee Brewers minor league player of the year and Brown pitcher of the year. In 2018, Ray, the number two prospect of the Crew, became the first player in the history of the Southern League to lead all players in home runs and stolen bases.
Meanwhile, Brown led the league and the entire organization in ERA while leading the Shuckers to a 19-2 record when he started a game and 20-2 when he made an appearance.
Back in August, Ray was named Southern League MVP with Brown earning the nod as most outstanding pitcher.
