We’ll have another day of showers and thunderstorms across the area with temperatures in the upper 80s to lower 90s. Going throughout the rest of the week rain chances will start to go down especially into the weekend.
TROPICS: A disturbance in the Caribbean has a medium chance of developing into a tropical depression or even a tropical storm later this week. It will likely move into the Western Gulf of Mexico and move toward the Texas Coast. It doesn’t appear this system will do much for South Mississippi. Isaac has weakened to a tropical storm, but could still impact the Lesser Antilles as a hurricane later this week. Hurricane Florence continues to be a threat for the Carolinas up to Virginia. The main impacts from this storm are expected to be Thursday and into the weekend as heavy rain will be one of the greatest concerns. Hurricane Helene will continue to move into the open waters of the Atlantic.
