Sunday’s defeat to Tampa Bay marks the fifth consecutive year the Saints have started off the regular season with a loss, but perhaps it’s that familiar territory that’s gonna help the Black and Gold bounce back to NFC South championship form. New Orleans Saints cornerback Marshon Lattimore said, “We know how to bounce back, I mean it’s as simple as that. We good, we ain’t panicking.”

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas said, “We’ve just got to get back to work and correct our mistakes and find when we watch the film, be honest with ourselves, take coaching. We know how to respond and get back to playing Saints football.”

New Orleans Saints defensive end Cam Jordon said, “As a defense, we never want to give up 41 points. At the end of the day the scoreboard was 48 to whatever we had, it wasn’t enough. That’s on the D-line, that’s on me. So, we’ve got a wakeup call for sure. Good for us it’s Week 1 that we can adjust to this early, and we’re going to do just that.”

During the Sean Payton era, the Saints have gone 7-9 in five out of the seven seasons they’ve started the regular season with a loss. It could always end up like last year, eight game winning streaking, 11-5, and NFC South champions.
