Funky Town took on a new meaning at the second annual Kai’s Give Back Gala on Saturday.
Kids from all over the Coast were invited to boogie and disco at the 70’s themed party. All they had to do was bring in one donation item for the Moore Community House.
There was dancing, a photo booth, prizes for best costume, and plenty of 70’s disco colored treats. Kai said she started this gala last year because she always saw her mom going to charity galas and she decided there should be one for kids too.
Being just nine-years-old, Kai thinks giving back to the community should start at a young age. “I think that everyone deserves a great start and by doing this gala and choosing the Moore Community House I can be a helping hand as well as everybody who comes to a great start for those children. It’s my own special way to give back to the community.”
