A dry night, and dry start to the morning across South Mississippi. It’s going to be another summertime day with highs in the upper 80s and lower 90s, feeling like the lower 100s. You might notice a little more activity today as scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and evening. Going into Thursday and Friday, rain chances will be more isolated, but it will still be hot and humid. Into the weekend there will be a little more activity, but still some sunshine. This pattern continues into the beginning of next week.
TROPICS: Hurricane Chris, now a category 2 storm, continues to move into the Atlantic. It might make a run at becoming a category 3 storm later today, but fortunately it’s staying out over open waters, so it won’t impact anyone directly. Rough seas will continue off the East Coast. The remnants of Berly continue to move toward the Bahamas. It does have about a 50% of redevelopment as we head into the weekend. The good news with this system is it will take a similar path as Chris and move into the open Atlantic.
