Seymour Law Firm held a fish fry fundraiser for childhood cancer on Saturday in hopes of paving the path for a cure.
There was a lot of eating, listening to music, and fun at this year’s fish fry. They had special recognition for those battling cancer and those that have lost the battle.
All proceeds were split evenly between two beneficiaries: the SoSo Strong Foundation which helps children with rare brain cancers and the Pink Heart Funds which provides cancer fighters with wigs. Pink Heart was even doing haircuts for those willing to donate to the wigs.
Coordinator Tina Demoran says this is all about the children and their families who are dealing with cancer. “This is just one way to help them out. We try to help nonprofits get established down on the Gulf Coast as attorneys, but being able to donate dollars and actually give them some grounding and give them some extra money and funds for cures to support local families.”
This event was extra special for Demoran because it was her ten-year cancer remission anniversary. She handed out white roses to everyone in celebration.
