The last few days haven’t been too bad, but we’re in for a very rainy weekend.
Daytime heating induced showers and thunderstorms will continue with greater frequency as a front moves in from the North and high pressure builds to the southeast of us.
This will amplify southerly flow, bringing more moisture into the area. As this front continues to push southward, moisture will be trapped “below” it, providing plenty of fuel for continued showers and thunderstorms. It will rain heavily through the weekend, weaken a bit to start next week, then come strong again by the middle of the week. The silver lining is it seems to be drying a bit by next weekend.
