It was another stormy afternoon for the western half of South MS, while the eastern remained oppressively hot and humid.
WE’LL SEE SIMILAR CONDITIONS OVER THE NEXT FEW DAYS, WITH HOT AND HUMID DAYS INTERRUPTED BY RANDOM SHOWERS.
As next week rolls around, a weak low pressure system will retrograde into the area bringing plenty of moisture for more showers and thunderstorms. This means rain chances will spike to 60% for the start of the week, but will begin tapering off for the Fourth of July. The tropics continue to heat up, but no new developments are expected within the next few days.
