The 16th annual Scrapin’ the Coast has come and gone.

“I’ve never even seen some vehicles this nice. It’s amazing. I’m just glad to be a part of it. You’re going to see the most awesome vehicles in the world. It’s unbelievable.” Tre Bezou says that he has been coming to Scrapin’ the Coast for five years now and he has seen it grow each year.  “It’s getting better every year. Back years ago there was a stigma about Scrapin’ the Coast coming to town, but now it’s getting better. The crowd is maturing. They’re getting used to it.”

While Bezou says the events are fun for him. He wants his Jeep to mean more. He’s starting up a nonprofit in his community in Louisiana to start picking up trash and helping in any way that they can.

While some find deeper meanings to their vehicles, most are just out here to have a good time with their families and to check out all of the rides. Attendee Brian Armenta tells News 25 that this is his third year in attendance. “Oh we have a blast. I mean, we come out here all the time. She loves it and then they got the food, the drinks, you know, stuff that you can look forward to in a positive way. Every year it’s getting bigger and bigger and better.”

Bigger is what it seemed like. People everywhere were observing these jacked up and highly decorated vehicles. There were lights, serious sound systems, and more displayed on those that braved to scrape the Coast this year.
