Since 2012, over a thousand Jeepers hit the streets of the Gulf Coast for the annual Jeepin’ the Coast weekend festivities.
People from all over the state ride their Jeeps coast wide with families and new friends they meet along the way.
Jeepin’ the Coast includes activities such as a beach crawl, live entertainment, a 5K fun run, and a scavenger hunt. Jeepers wrapped up their fun on Sunday with the last roll out from Anita’s in Bay St. Louis to the Blind Tiger in Biloxi.
This four day event helps raise money for those fighting cancer. Jeepin’ the Coast Co-Founder Jennifer Moran said, “Honestly, friends would just get together and ride their Jeeps from here all down the Coast. I said ‘let’s call it Jeepin’ the Coast.’ It’s during October so let’s buy pink shirts or some shirt with pink on it and let that money go to people who are battling breast cancer. We have done that from start to now.”
Moran tells News 25 the Jeep community has a huge place in her heart because people checked on her when her mother was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2017.
