A man is behind bars today after reportedly shooting a woman in Biloxi last week.
Eighteen-year-old Darrell Rankin Jr. turned himself in to police on a warrant for aggravated assault. The warrant stems from a story we first brought you last Friday off of Crawford Street in Biloxi when officers responded to a report of shots fired.
A female victim in her 40’s arrived at the police station and reported that Rankin pointed a gun at her and fired several rounds.
The victim was not struck by any of the bullets and officers learned that Darrell fled the scene with his mother who was arrested the same day for hindering prosecution and accessory after the fact to aggravated assault.
Rankin’s bond had previously been set at $25,000. He was transported to the Harrison County Jail.
