A little rain can’t stop (shan-dee) Chandy-Fest from happening this weekend, but it will push things back a little…
The event was originally scheduled to take place tomorrow but with weather moving into the area, Chandy-Fest will now take place this Sunday instead.
This morning preparations were underway in downtown Gulfport, the intersection at 14th Street and 25th Avenue is already blocked off to stage the area where live music and the infamous “bed races” will take place.
“We’ve got some pretty exciting things to see… we got the fire department involved.. the city of gulfport and other teams from the community that will race beds on wheels through downtown gulfport and again the money goes to charity… We’re super excited.. The event was originally scheduled for saturday but it will be on sunday and it will start at noon and go till about 6 o clock..Bed races at 1:30 but its free family event.”
