Biloxi firefighter rescue puppies

Biloxi firefighters are being called heroes after saving four lives yesterday.
The call came in Monday evening that a house was on fire in the 100 block of Crawford Street. When emergency officials arrived they say they found four puppies trapped in a cage and unconscious. That is when firefighters and police officers began lifesaving training on the dogs.
After about 15 minutes of administering oxygen, the animals regained consciousness. Biloxi Fire Chief Joe Boney said, “In today’s age our pets are like our family and we need to treat them as such. You know, animals are very fortunate they are lower to the ground so they can survive fire conditions a lot more, but they are susceptible to die in fires. We need to protect them like we do our families.”
The puppies are currently at the Harrison County Humane Society where they are recovering.
