Annual fish fry at Biloxi Fire Museum

The West End Hose Company’s annual fish fry was held in Biloxi today.
The fire museum on Howard Avenue served up some fried fish with all the fixins’. Each plate lunch was $8 and all proceeds benefit the museum and allows them to buy needed equipment.
The history of the Biloxi Fire Department dates back to more than 120 years and fundraisers like this help keep the museum up and running for the community. Fire Chief Joe Boney said, “The West End Hose Company started in 1909 and they started doing fundraisers then and they used to do basically the same thing, steak dinners. There’s pictures on the walls where you can see where people came, used to come in and eat during lunch and stuff. They’d hold fundraisers. It’s been going on pretty much since then.”
All proceeds from this event will benefit their upcoming fundraiser ‘A Jump into Summer,’ which will be at the end of this month.
