A businessman connected to the bribery of Mississippi’s former prisons chief had his fine reduced.
US District Judge Henry T. Wingate lowered Cecil McRory’s fine from 150-thousand to 20-thousand dollars.
This after hearing evidence McRory doesn’t have enough money to pay the higher amount
McRory was found guilty of crimes related to the bribing of Mississippi’s Former Corrections Commissioner Christopher Epps.
McRory plead guilty back in February of 2015 for money laundering conspiracy in relation to the 40-thousand dollars in cash he took from EPPS.
