Future doctors, firefighters, and ballerinas packed into bayou view elementary school this morning for a career fair.
Representatives from local agencies such as police, dental, and animal care spoke with students about options in their respected field.
Each presentation was interactive and many students spoke with the community members about what they do on a daily basis.
Even though these are elementary school students…some kids already know what they want to be when they grow up.
“I want to be helpful to others and save our country….and it was because my daddy’s dad was in the army.”
– Zaidyn Wills Wants To Be A Police Officer
“Once our students get to the high school they join an academic institute and we want them ready so we want to expose them to a wide variety so that they have a little bit of an idea of what their interests are.”
– Julie Gainey School Counselor, Bayou View Elementary
Kids also had the option to dress up in what they want to be when they grow up.
Some of them were chefs, a swat officer, and doctors.
