College and Career Fair for Students Long Beach High School

Planning for the future, that’s what students at Long Beach High School were doing this morning at their college and career fair.
Representatives from over 70 business, industry, military, law enforcement, and education agencies were on hand to tell students a little about what they do and answer questions.
Students tell News 25 this annual fair gives them an opportunity to learn about career fields they never knew they might be interested in. Long Beach High School Senior Darren Cook said,”I actually got some interest in the USM criminal justice program justice field. It was pretty nice. I didn’t think I would like anything about it, but it was pretty good.”
Long Beach High School Senior Grace Bennett said, “You can take all sorts of online seminars, personality tests to kind of see what you’re meant to do in this world, but until you hear firsthand and hear personal stories, you really don’t know.”
Teachers who help put the fair together tell News 25 it gets more popular each year and they continue to see more and more organizations willing to come speak with these students.
