Jonathan Holder Speaks at Baseball Luncheon

The Coast hits home base for New York Yankees pitcher Jonathan Holder.
The Gulfport native and current Major League Baseball rookie returned to the Coast to speak at the baseball luncheon in Biloxi.
Before being drafted by the New York Yankees in the sixth round of the 2014 amateur draft, Holder broke school records playing for Mississippi State.
Holder was promoted into the Major Leagues last month. He tells News 25 playing a game at Yankee Stadium is an indescribable feeling. “You get proud and you feel like a part of something bigger than yourself. All the legends that have worn those pinstripes, its mind boggling to think that you’re on the same field or in the same uniform as those guys.”
As a Yankees tradition, Holder had to walk around in public wearing a onesie for rookie dress up day.
