I-110 Closed for Repairs Tonight

If you use I-110 at night, you will soon need to find an alternative route to your destination.
Starting at 11 p.m., maintenance crews will begin repairs on the I-110 drawbridge. MDOT Commissioner Tom King says to maintain the safety of their workers, there will be no traffic allowed on the bridge while the work is being done. He wants people to avoid the area and plan for an alternate route tonight.
Those coming from the north will have to exit at Rodriguez Street in D’Iberville. All exits and entry ways in Biloxi will be barricaded. City of Biloxi Public Affairs Manager Vincent Creel said, “We’re advising people to use an alternate route, whether it’s Cowan-Lorraine Road or it is Popp’s Ferry Road or the Biloxi Bay Bridge from Ocean Springs. This is a big deal. This bridge carries 63,000 cars a day. That is the biggest artery coming into the city as far as the volume of traffic.”
The work should only last a few hours and the bridge should be reopened for those making their commute on Wednesday morning.
