No big changes with the overall pattern, high pressure will continue to dominate the Gulf coast through the weekend as a cold front approaches from the NW. A cut-off low pressure system over the Carolinas will retrograde to the SW and bring an increase in the moisture flow ahead of an approaching cold front. This will elevate rain potential for Sunday into early next week. The cold front looks like it will be the first significant system to move through the area with a strong amount of colder air behind it. Temps should drop into the low 80s in its wake later next week.
