Drew Brees Contract Extension

Who Dat Nation can rejoice as quarterback Drew Brees signed a five year contract days before the 2016 season kicks off.
The new contract helps reduce his $30 million cap hit this season and also includes a no trade clause. He will receive $44.25 million fully guaranteed over the next two years and gets more than $20 million in 2016.
Brees is on pace to break the all-time passing yards and touchdown records held by Peyton Manning before his deal expires. This will be Brees’ 11th season with the Saints. “First of all, I’m humbled and honored,” said Brees, “I have been from the day that I first set foot in here as a New Orleans Saint and it’s been an incredible journey. I hope to continue that journey for quite a bit longer.”
You can watch the Saints home opener this Sunday at noon on WXXV FOX.
