It was another drier day, but some thunderstorms did begin to pop up in the afternoon, and the Friday forecast isn’t calling for much more rain for the weekend. Hot and humid days continue to dominate our weather regime, and the chances of afternoon showers for the weekend are low, but still possible. A cold front begins to slide into the area Sunday evening, but isn’t likely to completely pass the Gulf Coast. More likely it wall stall just North of the six coastal counties, contributing to our disorganized cloudiness and moderate shower chances on Monday. Afterwards, the front begins to break down, and will eventually allow for higher pressures and clearer skies to move for the rest of the week.
