Toddler Dies After Being Taken by Alligator at Disney Resort

Authorities say a toddler is dead after being snatched by an alligator at an Orlando, Florida Disney resort yesterday.
Dive teams recovered the body of the two-year-old boy not too far from where witnesses saw him taken by the alligator near Seven Seas Lagoon, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
Allan Adams, owner of Gulf Coast Gator Ranch and Tours in Moss Point, tells News 25 that people need to use common sense around alligators. He says it’s rare for an alligator to attack a human but they are extremely dangerous creatures that could easily do so if given the opportunity. “They’re looking for something that’s easy prey. This little guy was small obviously and he was looking for the easiest one and that’s what he was going for. It’s sad to say but it’s true. It doesn’t happen often but it does happen.”
Adams has been the owner of the gator ranch for nearly 15 years and they’ve never had any dangerous gator incidents.
