Ole Miss responds after offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil admitted to taking money from a football coach at last night’s NFL Draft.
Just ten minutes before the draft kicked off, a video posted on his Twitter account appeared to show the player smoking an illegal substance through a gas mask. Laremy Tunsil’s agent said Tunsil’s account was hacked.
The hacking didn’t end with Twitter. Tunsil says his Instagram account was also hacked. This time showing a text message conversation between his mother and the assistant athletic director at Tunsil’s college and also the coaching staff. The subject of the message was about paying her rent and electric bills. His Instagram account has since been deleted.
Ole Miss released a statement saying: “The university is aware of the reports from the NFL Draft regarding Laremy Tunsil and potential NCAA violations during his time at Ole Miss. Like we do whenever an allegation is brought to our attention or a potential violation is self-discovered, we will aggressively investigate and fully cooperate with the NCAA and the SEC.”
