Flights Delays and Cancellations

The severe weather has caused hundreds of flight delays and some cancellations throughout the Southeast, putting a damper on many people’s plans to fly home for the holidays.
The weather is still causing major delays at airports throughout the southeast, as many would-be passengers found out today at the Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport. Throughout the day, flights have been delayed and even cancelled. We caught up with a few people hoping to head out. Mobile resident Larisa Dixon said, “It’s the Christmas season. You can’t let it get to you. And it’s the South, you don’t know what the temperature or the weather is going to do from one day to the next.” Stranded traveler Eli Fahrenhelz said, “I had no idea and then they told me right as soon as I walked through the door. I’ve been here since August. I spent Christmas last year in boot camp. Now, I get to spend it in an airport, it’s kind of different.”
