Shuckers Playing in Oppressive Heat

For the next 10 days the Biloxi Shuckers will be playing at home in extreme temperatures.
The heat will be oppressive even for fans just sitting out at the park but what about the players who are down on the field running and playing night after night? Players tell News 25 while the heat isn’t enjoyable; it boils down to staying hydrated and taking care of your body.
Shuckers Infielder Nathan Orf says, “Just drink a lot of water. When one game ends, I think it’s time to start re-hydrating again for the next day. Just make sure you get the nutrients you need to get it going again the next day and do everything you can to play at the highest level.”
