The luncheon was held to make sure chamber members and other coast residents are informed about our local military installments.
Congressman Steven Palazzo was on hand to give the keynote address. He was also awarded the “U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Spirit of Enterprise Award.”
“We’re not spending the amount of money we should be or investing in our men and women in uniform the amounts that we should. Because, as a nation, we’re accruing a lot of debt. To make sure America is safe and sound at home and abroad and our men and women in uniform do their jobs and come back home, we need to be aware that we need to be making increased investments,” said Palazzo.
There was also a hail and farewell to the commanders of the Combat Readiness Training Center in Gulfport.
