One of the first non-baseball events at MGM Park is set to take place this weekend.
While the Shuckers are way, Overtime Sports and Community Bank will be hosting a Fourth of July celebration at MGM Park. Admission will be $5 with live music all day long. In addition, the park will be packed with activities for kids: inflatables, rock climbing walls and more.
Owner of Overtime Sports, Tim Bennett, says this is just one of the non-baseball events the community can expect to see in the park from now on: “We made a commitment to the city when we first built the stadium that it would be just Shuckers baseball, but we’d do other events for high school and for college and for different camps. This is just one of those other community events we wanted to do in the stadium. We feel like it will be good for everybody and it also makes the city some money.”
While Bennett can’t release other official events yet, he said to expect things like MMA Fights and some big concerts to take place.
He said they should have an official big announcement in the next two weeks.
