Neshondria Ellerby was sworn in as Assistant District Attorney Friday morning at the Jackson County Courthouse. The position became available when Jackson County became in dire need of more help because of an overload of cases. Ellerby says she is excited to be back to her roots.
Ellerby says, “I was a prosecutor in Virginia and I really enjoyed serving the public in that way, and discovered a passion for that area of the law, so I’m really excited to get back to doing that and serving the new community in which I live.”
Ellerby will be working her first murder case in Jackson County in a few weeks.
