Voter Registration Deadline is Saturday

If you plan on voting in the November election, you have until Saturday, October 4th, to get your paperwork in order with your county’s Circuit Clerk.

The deadline applies to new voters as well as those who may have moved to another address or precinct. You generally have 30 days before an election to get registered to vote. The Harrison County Circuit Clerk’s office will be open from 8 a.m. until noon this Saturday.

Gayle Parker, Harrison County Circuit Clerk, says, “We have some very important races. There are congressional races and judges. We have chancery judges, circuit judges, and county court judges that are on the ballot. There are some important positions there. People should look at the candidates and on November 4th, go and vote.”
