Far Hills, NJ (SportsNetwork.com) - The United States Golf Association announced on Tuesday a list of 25 players who were awarded full exemptions into the field of the U.S. Open Championship.

The 25 players were all added into the field because of their placement inside the top 60 of the Official World Golf Ranking as of May 26.

Among that group was 2000 U.S. Open runner-up Miguel Angel Jimenez. Jimenez, who finished in fourth place at the Masters and has three wins worldwide this season, will be appearing in his 13th career U.S. Open. He also finished inside the top 10 in 2008.

Also receiving exemptions Tuesday were Thomas Bjorn, Jonas Blixt, Jamie Donaldson, Victor Dubuisson, Harris English, Matthew Every, Stephen Gallacher, Russell Henley, Thongchai Jaidee, Matt Jones, Chris Kirk, Pablo Larrazabal, Joost Luiten, Francesco Molinari, Ryan Moore, Ryan Palmer, Ian Poulter, Patrick Reed, John Senden, Kevin Stadler, Richard Sterne, Brendon Todd, Jimmy Walker and Lee Westwood.

Todd and Larrazabal snuck into the top 60 of rankings with their finishes this past weekend. Todd moved to No. 57 with his share of fifth place at the PGA Tour's Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial, while Larrazabal jumped to 59th with a share of seventh in the European Tour's BMW PGA Championship.

Twenty other players were also awarded places in the field due to their finishes on Monday at the first two sectional qualifiers in Japan and England. The remaining sectional qualifiers will be competed at 10 different locations around the United States on Monday, June 2.

The number of fully exempt golfers may then increase with the inclusion of the top 60 players from the world rankings as of Monday, June 9.

The U.S. Open will be held from June 12-15 at Pinehurst Resort & Country Club. Pinehurst's Course No. 2 previously hosted the U.S. Open in 1999 and 2005.
