Siddikur wins by 1 in India

New Delhi, India ( - Mohd Siddikur held on to win the Hero Indian Open on Sunday despite carding a 3-over-par 75 in the final round.

Siddikur finished 72 holes at 14-under-par 274 and earned his second career title on the Asian Tour.

S.S.P. Chowrasia and Anirban Lahiri, both from India, shot 72 and 70, respectively at Delhi Golf Club to share second place at 13-under 275. Both players missed birdie chances to force a playoff at the last, with Chowrasia's putt from five feet failing to find the bottom of the cup.

Siddikur started strong with birdies at Nos. 2 and 5, but he stumbled to four bogeys over his next six holes. He briefly righted himself with birdies at 13 and 14, but followed with a triple-bogey 7 at the 15th and a another dropped shot at the 16th.

At the 17th, Siddikur produced a crucial birdie, then parred the last to hold on for the win.
