Augusta, GA (SportsNetwork.com) - Miguel Angel Jimenez fired a 6-under 66 on Saturday to post the low round of the week at the Masters.

Jimenez finished 54 holes at 3-under-par 213, and he left the course as leader Bubba Watson was starting his third round at 7-under.

The Spaniard became the third player that is eligible for the Champions Tour to shoot 66 at Augusta. Ben Hogan was the first to do so in 1967 and Fred Couples also did it in 2010.

Jimenez, who has two top-10 finishes in 14 previous Masters appearances, birdied the third and fifth, both par-4s. Those two birdies moved him to plus-1, and he remained there with four straight pars from the sixth.

Around the turn, Jimenez dropped his second shot on the 10th within seven feet and he made that birdie chance to get to even-par. He made it two in a row at the tough 11th.

Jimenez rolled in a 14-foot birdie putt to get into red figures. He stumbled to a bogey on the 12th after finding sand off the tee and leaving his second shot in the same trap.

The 50-year-old knocked his second into the back bunker at par-5 13th and rattled his third off the stick. He tapped in for birdie to get back to minus-1.

Jimenez made it two in a row as he birdied the 14th. He rolled in an 18-footer for birdie at the par-3 16th to move to 6-under for his round and 3-under for the tournament. He parred the final two holes to post 66.
