Hutchinson, KS (SportsNetwork.com) - Alabama rolled to a 4-1 win over Oklahoma State on Wednesday claim the NCAA Men's Golf Championship for the second straight year.

"Not many teams have been able to win this back-to-back," Oklahoma State coach Alan Bratton said. "They've been on top for a while, and they deserve it."

Bobby Wyatt, Trey Mullinax and Cory Whitsett all won their matches for the second year in a row to lead the Crimson Tide to the title.

Wyatt lost the first hole, but had a hole-in-one on the second to square the match. He also won the third, and never trailed again. Wyatt beat Talor Gooch, 3 & 2, when Gooch missed two putts from inside six feet on the 16th green.

Alabama's Robbie Shelton never led through the first 15 holes. He birdied the 14th to square the match and another birdie on No. 16 gave Shelton a 1-up lead on Zachary Olsen. The pair halved the final two holes with birdies as Shelton claimed a 1-up win.

Oklahoma State's Wyndham Clark led throughout to beat Tom Lovelady 3 & 1. Clark was ahead by as much 5-up through 11 before Lovelady rallied to extend the match to the 17th.

Mullinax, who won 1-up in the finals last year, never trailed in beating Ian Davis 2 & 1. Mullinax birdied the fourth to take a 1-up lead and he led by as many as 4-up through nine holes. Davis won three of the first four holes on the back nine to get within 1-down, but Mullinax made eagle on the par-5 17th to win the match and seal the title for the Crimson Tide.

Whitsett and the Cowboys' Jordan Niebrugge battled in a tight match as nine of the first 13 holes were halved. Whitsett won the 14th with a birdie to take his first lead of the match, parred the 15th to move 2-up, and after the pair halved 16 and 17, Whitsett claimed the 2 & 1 win.

"I think there's just a confidence and belief we could do this. I think it's just the comfort level of being there, and that showed," Whitsett said.

Stanford's Cameron Wilson birdied the third playoff hole on Monday to win the NCAA individual championship at Prairie Dunes Country Club.
