Kings send Quick back to LA

Los Angeles, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Los Angeles Kings sent goaltender Jonathan Quick back to southern California to have a lower-body injury checked out by team doctors.

Kings head coach Darryl Sutter confirmed Wednesday that Quick, who exited in overtime of Tuesday's 3-2 shootout loss in Buffalo, has some sort of issue with his groin or hamstring muscle which would have prevented him from playing again on the club's current four-game road trip.

The 27-year-old posted a 10-5-0 record, 2.35 goals-against average, .905 save percentage and one shutout in 16 games this season.
