Recap: Calgary vs. Columbus

Calgary, AB ( - Rene Bourque's second goal of the contest was the game winner with 58.5 seconds remaining in overtime, and Columbus nipped Calgary, 3-2, at the Saddledome.

Kevin Connauton carried the puck along the right side over the goal line and threw a shot on net, where Bourque scooped up the rebound and slid the deciding marker past Karri Ramo's pad on the near side.

Artem Anisimov provided the other offense for the Blue Jackets, who swept their western Canadian road trip for the first time ever and have won six of their last seven overall.

"I didn't know it was the first time in franchise history until the coaches came in here after the game," said Jackets defenseman Jack Johnson. "It's a small consolation prize in a year like this, where we're not in the position we want to be. We can be proud of that."

Sergei Bobrovsky backed up his club with a 38-save effort.

Sean Monahan and Jiri Hudler both posted a goal and one assist for the Flames, who have dropped three of their last four. Calgary nonetheless moved two points ahead of the Kings -- who lost to Vancouver earlier Saturday -- in the Pacific Division.

Ramo took the loss after stopping 23 shots.

"We need two points and losing that one in overtime is tough to swallow right now," Flames defenseman Kris Russell said. "At the same time, we're going to take that point and try and build off it. We've got a few games left at home, so we've got to grab some momentum before we head on the road."

Monahan opened the scoring on a power-play tap-in with 4:18 elapsed, then Bourque's redirection of a cross-ice feed by Ryan Johansen evened things at 11:13.

Hudler beat Bobrovsky with 2:44 played in the second for a 2-1 Calgary edge, with Monahan stealing the puck behind the Columbus net and dishing in front for the successful shot.

Anisimov forged a 2-2 deadlock at 4:21 of the third, capitalizing off a Kris Russell turnover to the right of Ramo and scoring with a backhander while facing away from the net.
