Recap: Tampa Bay vs. Dallas

Tampa, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Alex Killorn and Victor Hedman scored in a two-minute span early in the third period and the Tampa Bay Lightning set a franchise record for home wins in a 5-4 victory over Tyler Seguin and the Dallas Stars on Saturday night.

Anton Stralman, Nikita Kucherov and Brian Boyle also scored for Tampa Bay and Andrei Vasilevskiy made 31 saves.

The Lightning finished a 3-0 homestand with their 26th victory at Amalie Arena (26-6-1), breaking the previous team record of 25 home wins set four times, including last season.

"It's always fun to play (here) when we come back from a road trip," said forward Ondrej Palat, who had three assists for Tampa Bay. "We were excited to play in front of our fans. It's a great building. We have a confidence here."

Seguin scored two goals for Dallas in his return from a 10-game absence due to a knee injury. Vernon Fiddler also had two goals for the Stars, who had a two- game winning streak snapped. Jhonas Enroth allowed five goals on 28 shots.

Killorn controlled Ryan Callahan's pass into the slot with his right skate and moved the puck to his stick, firing a shot that beat Enroth's glove to tie the score 3:40 into the third period.

Hedman then made it 4-3 on a shot from the left circle at 5:31 after Tampa Bay kept a bouncing puck in the zone near the left boards.

Later, Vasilevskiy stopped a wide-open shot from Jason Spezza on the left side of the slot with around three minutes remaining and Boyle scored into an empty net in the final minute.

Fiddler's second goal, which he redirected off his skate in the crease, came in the final seconds.

"We give away wins. That's what we did again tonight," said Seguin. "It's on all of us in here. We can't make excuses for it. We gave them those two goals to win."

Seguin's second goal, a one-timer from the slot assisted by John Klingberg from behind the net, tied the score at 2-2 3:52 into the second period.

Fiddler then gave Dallas the lead at 11:03 of the period when he redirected Alex Goligoski's slap shot from the high left side past Vasilevskiy.

Earlier, the Lighting took a 1-0 lead on Stralman's power play goal 12:59 into the game, which touched off a flurry of scoring between two of the NHL's top offensive teams.

Seguin followed with his first goal since Feb. 7, a slap shot from the left circle that beat Vasilevskiy high on the far side on a power play at 14:24.

Kucherov restored Tampa Bay's one-goal lead on a sharp-angle shot just 86 seconds later after Ondrej Palat found him behind a defenseman on the left side.
