Recap: Anaheim vs. Pittsburgh

Anaheim, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Patric Hornqvist scored twice as the Pittsburgh Penguins topped the Anaheim Ducks 5-2 on Friday.

Blake Comeau, Evgeni Malkin and Sidney Crosby all tallied a goal and an assist for the Penguins, who bounced back from Wednesday's 3-1 loss to Colorado for their fifth win in the last six games.

"I thought we really picked it up in the second period and until they got the first goal I thought we were in control," Pittsburgh head coach Mike Johnston said. "That was a good test for us and we met it."

Backup netminder Thomas Greiss made 27 saves in the win.

Corey Perry and Tomas Fleischmann both scored and Frederik Andersen allowed four goals on 20 shots as the Ducks' four-game win streak came to an end.

"Couple of bad bounces off the glove that went in," said Andersen. "You're going to have those nights."

After a scoreless first period, Comeau blasted a shot over Andersen's glove from the top of the right circle at 9:51 of the middle stanza for the opening tally.

Hornqvist made it a 2-0 game after he took David Perron's pass behind the net and skated to the goal line, where he banked a shot in off Andersen with 8:07 left in the second.

With 1:03 left before the final intermission, Hornqvist scored his second of the night on a redirection of Ian Cole's shot in front for a 3-0 lead.

Malkin gave Pittsburgh a four-goal lead just 2:03 into the third as his wrister squeaked through Andersen's pads.

Fleischmann ruined Greiss' shutout bid at 9:03 of the final frame as his wrister through traffic bounced off the netminder's glove and into the net.

Perry made it a 4-2 as Rickard Rakell's pass caromed off a defender's skate over to Perry, who slapped it past Greiss with 6:52 to play.

Andersen was pulled with over two minutes to play, but Cam Fowler took a hooking penalty to hurt Anaheim's comeback attempt.

Crosby scored on the vacated cage with 11 seconds to account for the final score.
